If the plan had gone through, Lolita (also known as Tokitae or Toki) might still be alive today. In the wild, killer whales are highly social animals who bond with family members until they die. Lolita has lived isolated at Seaquarium for 40 years. Activists from across the country have demanded Lolita's release from Seaquarium and eventual release in the wild.
